For the Men in my Life

I have been trying to use retired sets and papers this month....still waiting for the release of the new catalog.  So I created a few cards for the men in my life with a retired Stampin' Up! set called Papa's Pocket and some old designer series paper.
I used another generic stamp that I had around on the first one but I am not really happy with the layout.

Here is my second attempt and I like this one enough to make a few extras to have around and I may even try to sell a few.

New Product or Ode to the UPS truck

Oh, UPS man. How your horn fills my heart with delight! Yes, I know your name, and I know the sound of the tires stopping at my house; but it's not really you I want to see...it's those lovely brown packages you bring to me. (The ones with a bold black Stampin' Up! logo.)
Yesterday, my package from UPS arrived. It carried all kinds of beauties that won't be available to you until June (unless your a demonstrator).  Oh, and I guess I did buy a few ink refills for retiring colors but mostly my box was filled with the new colors and a few new stamp sets. I am eager to start some new projects- I just love the new colors, The Cherry Cobbler is just well, delicious.....BUT this week's personal challenge will be to use retiring product.  I have gotta make every scrap of paper and drop of ink stretch.

Scrapbooks, Cards, And Photography...Oh My!

I am working on scrapbooks for my two sons and will post pages and ideas here soon. 
I make cards any time I have an excuse and then even when I don't. 
I also love photography and sometimes get paid to take pictures.  But mostly I stay home with my boys and take care of them.
