Mojo Monday

I decided to try something new.  I decided to participate in my first sketch challenge.  Here is what I came up with:

I chose Pacific Point and Crumb Cake as my color combination. I used several products that are on the retiring list for Stampin' Up!  I will be sad to see the Cogs Punch go (#118873).  I also used my favorite Designer Series Paper (DSP), Blueberry Crisp (#117392) which will also be retiring this month. 
Here is the original sketch:

I started by using 1" x 4" strips of paper.  2 are from the DSP and the other are plain Sahara Sand that I used Not Quite Navy marker and the color spritzer to splatter.  I also used the Sandy Speckles wheel (#117651) to add more color to the Crumb Cake strips. I punched out a 1 3/4 circle from corrugated cardboard and decorated with a variety of brads I had in my stash.  The ribbon is the 1/8" taffeta ribbon in basic black (#119261).

Single Page Layout: I Scream.... Ice Cream

Here is a cute page that I enjoyed making for the baby of our family.

I hand wrote the journaling on Crumb Cake Cardstock using an Early Espresso Stampin' Write marker.  I also used the embossing folders and the Big Shot for the strips behind the main photo in order to add texture and emphasis.  Stampin' Up! colors used:  Bashful Blue, Pacific Point, Early Espresso, and Crumb Cake.

Baker Locke Wedding

I want to share with you the fabulous photos that I took at the Baker Locke wedding in June.  This couple was fabulous.  The best part of my job is making new friends.....

Two-Page Layout: Play

It  feels good to get pages done, doesn't it?  Well here is a fun 2 page layout that I completed for my sons' scrapbooks.

I used the beautiful Blueberry Crisp Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

 I love stamping my titles and making my own embellishments because it means that I can match the colors and theme exactly like I want to.  The journal block was printed on vellum just so I could still see the beautiful paper peaking through from behind.

New Impressions Video...

I Make my own embellishments for cards and scrapbook pages

My life is full but I still have been enjoying making cards for frineds and looking longingly at those unfinished pages.  So to give you something interesting, here are some pics of previous projects that I have completed.

These two are embellishments for scrapbook layouts that I made but could easily turn into card focal pieces.  I used the new large scallop punch, item 118874, the 2 way bird punch and filigree brads.  And ALL of Stampin' Up!'s punches are now in the new style.

I love the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and use on anything I can.  I know this is showcasing a retired stamp set and retired ribbon...but that could easily be swapped out and VOILA!

This card showcases Sentimental Journey and Extreme Elements and sadly will be retiring on August 31, 2010.  I adore stamping my own paper which is what you see on the bashful blue (light blue) squares.  another retiring product is the beautiful Designer Series Paper sometimes called DSP that is in the mini catalog; it matches this set perfectly.
